We recognise the importance of keeping in touch with your loved ones so we actively encourage this across our care homes. There are several ways in which you can stay in touch with your loved ones.
The park which formed the grounds of Allesley Hall enjoys a wealth of mature trees and shrubs and contains a walled garden, which is maintained as a Georgian kitchen garden by a local voluntary group. The walled garden is currently being restored to the days when it supplied fruit and vegetables for the hall's owners and servants. Walled garden volunteers organise educational events and activities in the garden to celebrate its history. Coundon Care is an independent charity and is run by a board of trustees.
Residential care
We encourage our residents to furnish their own rooms as they wish. This could be as simple as hanging a couple of their favourite pictures on the wall, but they’re also welcome to bring their own comfy chair, or anything that makes them feel at home. The most important thing is for everyone to feel comfortable, happy and settled.
Your feedback will be anonymous and used by the Council for evaluation and improvement of the Directory. We welcome all visitors to visit the child-friendly environment and refurbished wheelchair access for you and your family. The site is run as a community garden with a strong emphasis on education, heritage and chemical-free vegetable production.
Allesley Park Medical Centre
We’re passionate about providing opportunities to make new memories and long time friends while visiting. We believe that families should feel reassured and confident in the quality of care and company their loved ones receive during their visits with us. The Parks Service Rangers have restarted work on laying the hedge opposite the walled garden, on the boundary with Allesley Hall. Work on this project stopped early last winter to avoid damage to the snowdrops, and had to wait until the trees started to become dormant again, and until the birds had finished nesting.
Flu vaccines are due to arrive week beginning 26thSeptember and after this we plan to deliver covid and flu vaccines together. We are encouraging patients to have flu and covid booster vaccines together to save time and help us get through the cohorts as quickly as possible. During this unprecedented time, I have been impressed with the care Mum has received. She tested positive for coronavirus which must have been brought into the home as she had no contact with... Allesley Hall has provided excellent care to my mother during the Covid-19 period. When she was isolated we were kept informed and the situation was explained clearly to her.
